He served as Pastor at Grace Lutheran in Jacksonville, from June 1980 through his call to Peace, Port Charlotte, in February 1984.

Skip Struebing and Rachel MacFadden, RN, married November 1, 1975 and have been blessed with three sons Ed, Steve and Ben. Rachel has faithfully served with Pastor as teacher, counselor, and worship leader for all their years of ministry.

Peace’s pastoral call includes encouragement to participate in community ministry. In that spirit Pastor has served on several Boards, including the Homeless Coalition of Charlotte County, Inter-faith, Inter-Agency Network of Charlotte County, Habitat for Humanity, Charlotte County Ministerial Association, and 5 Nights of Dynamite.  Pastor has ministered at Peace Lutheran for 25 years. His commitment, strong character, exuberant worship, dynamic preaching, and love for God’s people have been an admirable example to generations. God has truly blessed this congregation with Pastor Skip!
